Cumberland Falls

We have been at the Daniel Boone National Forest and Cumberland Falls near Corbin Kentucky. We are parked at the Sheltowee Trace Recreation Area. Our internet signal is poor so I have more things to put on the blog when the signal is better. There is a State Park with a lodge, cabins and campground but larger RV's can not use that campground. The Falls are famous for the MoonBow, a rainbow across the falls when the moon is full and mist from the falls is present. We watched the falls Wednesday night until midnight but did not see the MoonBow. I do have photos of the rainbow across the falls during the daytime twelve years ago. There are several good viewing places to see the falls. The Cumberland River was still very high due to the heavy rain last week so the water over the falls was flowing more than normal. It rained Thursday and Friday but Saturday looks good for our train ride.

The falls this year.

Normal water flow and the daytime rainbow twelve years ago.

Don't feed the bears.
