Tiffin Motorhomes, Red Bay Alabama

We are in Red Bay again for a few warranty items. We arrived last Saturday at the Allegro Campground where we wait our turn for the Service Center.

Our work was finished on Friday. We moved to the Downtown RV Park until Wednesday where there is no gravel and dust. It's pouring down rain right now so that will wash off the dust and maybe save me from doing a full wash job. On Wednesday, we are heading to Pigeon Forge, TN. We will be there about three weeks then head north to Indiana.

There are about 50 service bays.

Windshield replacement and floor tile repaired in this building.

There are 110 full hookup sites by the service buildings. This time of year, people wintering in Florida (like us) head north and stop at Red Bay. The lot is usually full with motor homes waiting for some repair. It's a gravel lot and we call it the Dust Bowl.

There are service bays on both sides of the building.

In the service bay, our Phaeton is on the left. The warranty items took about 2 hours.

One Year Ago

Our Phaeton build started last year almost to the day. Production began on April 21, 2016 and we wrote the check for it June 6th. We stayed in Red Bay during that period to watch it during construction. Blog entries from 2016 show those details.

For me, a trip to Tiffin always requires a visit to the plant. I was there today for about 3 hours, looking at everything in case I missed something last year.
Here are a few pictures of our motor home, recycled from last year.
